Neither the website nor its advertising partners provide a service for employment screening, tenant evaluation, credit decisions, insurance underwriting, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The website is a Wisconsin records reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site, independent from every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for a user.
Its role is to identify custodians such as Wisconsin DOJ / CIB, Wisconsin DOC, the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, Wisconsin courts, and agencies in all 72 counties, while offering links to outside research tools. Its partners and advertising tools are not offered for screening applicants, evaluating rentals, setting insurance terms, or deciding creditworthiness. Users must not rely on site or linked data to:
- Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
- Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
- Set insurance terms or evaluate creditworthiness
- Assess a tenant or housing applicant
- Make a hiring, firing, or employment decision
A legally permitted screening purpose requires the proper official Wisconsin channel or a qualified FCRA-compliant consumer reporting provider.
